Diego Solorzano
Electrical Engineer & Photonics Researcher
Hi! I'm Diego, an electrical engineer specializing in semiconductors and optical
electronics, currently pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of California,
Irvine.
Through internships, research, projects, and leadership roles, I have developed a strong foundation and passion
for semiconductor technologies and photonics. I am deeply passionate about learning and continuously
seek opportunities to expand my knowledge, whether through hands-on projects, academic research, or
collaboration with industry professionals. I plan to pursue graduate studies in Electrical Engineering, focusing
on nanophotonic devices, with the goal of driving innovation and bridging the gap between research and
real-world applications!

About
Skills
I'm a fourth‑year EE at UCI, specializing in semiconductors and optical electronics.
My technical interests include semiconductor fabrication, MEMS devices, optical devices, nanophotonics, and quantum computing.
I've taken extensive coursework in these areas, and have a strong foundation in the principles and applications of each.
Outside of academics, I love all things music related, especially playing the guitar and piano.
You can find me at the piano making original music or improvising on the guitar.
You can check out my music on Spotify here!
I also really enjoy reading novels, doing photography, and rock climbing!
